Self-Guided House Architecture Tour

Scottdale's historic self-guided Walking Tour is a journey through tree-lined streets in search of some of the greatest residential architecture of the Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries.

Along 29 stops you will encounter houses in the styles of Second Empire (1860-1890), Queen Anne (1880-1910), Colonial Revival (1880-1920), Neo-Classical (1910-1940), and Arts and Crafts (1900-1925).

See homes in the "high style" of the Victorian era, Queen Anne homes based on English cottage and country house architecture, as well as the many parapets and balustrades that once defined Scottdale as one of the richest towns in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

 Please respect the privacy and property of the owners while taking this self-guided tour.  The homes on the tour are private residences and are not open  to the public.  Please stay on the public sidewalks.  The entire tour is one mile in length and lasts about 1 hour.
